Smart Baseball Prospect League Summer 27′ Deposit
SBPL LEAP Payment Refund Policy
To secure a player’s spot in the Smart Baseball Prospect League (SBPL)
LEAP Program, a $500 deposit is required at registration. This deposit
is strictly non-refundable under all normal circumstances. By
submitting this payment, families acknowledge and agree that the
deposit represents a commitment to participate in the league and
allows SBPL to cover administrative, staffing, scheduling, and
operational preparations made well in advance of the season.
Refund Eligibility
The only scenario in which payments may be refunded is in the event of
a major natural disaster that prevents SBPL from operating the league
at the start of the season. This includes, but is not limited to: –
Tornadoes
– Fires
– Flooding
– Widespread facility damage
– Any natural event that renders the fields or facilities unsafe or
unplayable prior to Opening Day
If SBPL is unable to begin the season due to one of these events, all
payments made beyond the initial $500 deposit will be fully refunded.
Non-Refundable Deposit
The $500 deposit remains strictly non-refundable in all cases, including:
– Player withdrawal for personal reasons
– Scheduling conflicts
– Injury or medical reasons
– Changes in family plans
– Decisions to join another team or league
This policy ensures fairness and consistency for all families and
allows SBPL to maintain the highest quality league operations,
staffing, and planning.
Season Interruption After Start
If the season begins and is later interrupted due to weather, natural
events, or unforeseen circumstances, SBPL will evaluate the situation
carefully. Refunds or credits—if any—will be determined at SBPL’s sole
discretion based on the portion of the season completed and the
circumstances involved.
